a wild scene, christie. >> reporter: good morning to you, jon. anthony sanchez saw an opportunity and he grabbed it. he was under arrest in handcuffs inside of an unmarked police van but when police officers were outside of that van doing paperwork, he was able to give them the slip and actually take off in that van. police say they had double cuffed him. two sets of handcuffs together to ease the stress on his shoulders and he took advantage of that and rolled off in that van. police tell us it started about 3:30 on hillsdale avenue here in san jose. he had been arrested on a drug related warrant and sanchez is a big guy but was able to move cuffs under his body and get away. the keys were in the ignition at the time. two hours after this, they were able to locate the van. fortunately nothing was stolen from it but sanchez is long gone. he's 5'8", to 5'10" tall, 250 to 275 pounds. he was wearing black sweats and a gray sweatshirt. he may still have cuffs on but he also could have slipped those off too. he isn't considered dangerous. we do have c
